Christmas Puppy Gifting 2022!
This year we decided to do something that we have never done before, we gave away an Ashford Manor Australian Labradoodle puppy to a person by people nominating themselves or others. We were overwhelmed by the response we received from past clients nominating someone, schools, facilities, and people nominating themselves or others who they felt would benefit from a therapy qualified Australian Labradoodle puppy.
We had a team of people here at Ashford Manor Labradoodles reviewing the applications to look at the best fits for people who would be a good match for the dog that we were donating. We were humbled by reading through so many peoples stories, our hearts went out to them. It was a very hard decision as so many people could benefit from a therapy qualified puppy.
We ended up gifting not 1, not 2, but 3 therapy qualified puppies that had been through our Ashford Manor Boot Camp as well. Even with donating three puppies it was a challenge! Now you can read a little more about each family and puppy. We hope to give another write up in a few months.
We hope that we will be able to gift another puppy in 2023! This was such a blessing to us as well!
Meet Milo and Cashew aka Ollie!
Milo is an 8 year old 2nd grader at Sugar Grove Elementary. Milo was diagnosed with Autism a few days before Christmas break in 2017 at the age of 3. He was non-verbal for the first 3 – 5 years of his life. Milow was blessed with a wonderful therapy qualified puppy named Cashew aka Ollie.
Ollie is fitting in so well with the entire family. He loves to go on walks, plays with Milo and his siblings, and snuggles with Milo.
Meet Aidan and Tarshish!
Aidan is 10 years old and is non-verbal and diagnosed with Autism. Aidan got a therapy qualified puppy who loves to snuggle! Tarshish likes to go on walks, and play, but his favorite time is snuggle time! That is exactly what Aidan is in need of, a friend.
Tarshish has been a wonderful addition to their home. He has been amazing since his first night home! He follows Aidan around like a little shadow, and just curls up next to him. Aidan loves to run his fingers through his curls. When Aidan is having a hard time, Tarshish just comes up and sits beside him.
Kathy and Yuki aka Maggie!
Kathy is a senior citizen who has lost her husband and has become depressed. She was not going out anymore and enjoying life like she used to. Her family and friends have been worried about her as she always was an active gardener and walker.
Yuki aka Maggie is changing her world! Maggie makes her smile, helps her get outside of her own four walls to talk to people on their walks, and to just be a friend. Kathy and Maggie have become great friends in a short time, they love to spend time together.
Thank you for making our first annual
Christmas Puppy Gifting a success!
