As the Summer days pass by (too quickly), I constantly hear one thing from my kiddos….”I AM HOT!” It is true that summer days can be hot, so to help you beat the hot summer days, I put together the following list of creative ways to keep your Australian Labradoodle COOL (and maybe you, too)!
– Get a plastic pool for your puppy to play in (Please be sure the water is not too hot or cold for your puppy)
- play in the sprinkler or garden hose with your puppy
- Go on walks in the early morning, late evening (this avoids the hottest part of the day)
- Play under a shade tree
You should be aware of the following signs of heat exhaustion
-Increased, quick pulse,
-Tongue will change to a purple color
-Labored breathing (Dogs and puppies do pant, which is different that labored breathing)
