Happy Labor Day Weekend to All!

This is a great time to celebrate with friends and family over a cook-out or a picnic. A few tips to remember while you are out with your Australian Labradoodle enjoying the last warm days in some parts of the country, here in Indiana we have brought in the cooler weather already.

Dogs can be sneaky creatures looking for their next treat or in some cases whole meal! Let’s be honest, even the most obedient dogs sometimes cannot resist the smells of those items we are grilling or pieces that have fallen from our plates. Especially if there are little children involved!

Here is a small list of items we may be serving that pets should not consume:

• Bones
• Chocolate
• Raisins
• Onions
• Garlic
• Corn cobs
• Sausages
• Bratwurst

Other things to think about over Labor Day Weekend:

• Fireworks
• Bonfires
• Swimming pools, beaches, and boats – water can be tempting for dogs
• Crowds
• High humidity
