New Puppy Tips

At Ashford Manor Labradoodles we work hard every day with our puppies. We want to make sure they get off to a great start with your family as well. Here are some things that will help both of you become the best dog owners possible. We have created a list of things we think are important for you to think about before brining home your new puppy.

Health

• Monthly Heartworm Meds
• Monthly Flea and Tick Meds (not to be combined with Heartworm)
• Proper Vaccinations
• Yearly vet visits for routine exam including parasites
• Yearly dental exam

Nutrition

• Adequate amounts of water
• Proper amount of  a good quality food
• Vitamins
• Training treats

Training

• Daily walks
• Basic obedience – sit, down, stay, come, and potty training
• Age appropriate toys that challenge your puppy
• Consistency

Grooming

• Daily brushing of their coats
• Daily brushing of their teeth
• Nail trimming as needed
• Visiting a groomer at least every twice a year
