Chicken Jerky Treat Recall

In my post yesterday I failed to mention that the Hartz Corporation has recalled their Chicken Jerky Chews and Hartz Oinkies Pig Skin Twists Wrapped with Chicken. Both of these products have now been removed from store shelves due to illegal antibiotic drug residue. This illegal drug is used in China although it has not been approved to be used here in the United States.

A few of the store brands have pulled their generic version of the Hartz Corporation products as well. Publix Chicken Tenders Dog Chew Treats and Cadet Brand Chicken Jerky Treats has voluntarily recalled their products. Save a little money purchasing generic is a wonderful thing, but when the manufacture has a recall, that is a problem.

The food is called Life’s Abundance, if you care about your dog’s health, feed a food which has never been recalled.
