One questions we often receive here at Ashford Manor Labradoodles is what products do you recommend. We have tried A LOT of products over the years! So it is worth learning from our mistakes on many different items.  Let us help you make your life a little easier!

1. Foods We Recommend

For food recommendations please visit our website product page. We have three different food companies that we like, they are all exceptional.  There is quite a price difference on the food, it really depends if you want variety in your food and if you have another dog in the home that needs to eat the food as well.

2. Treats & Chews

There are many option for dog treats and chew toys. We have used many of them and have narrowed down a list for you. Some of these are great for teething time, others are great for anytime. Remember you can alternate treats with kibble, keep things exciting!

3. Food & Storage

When storing your dog food it is important to store it in a sealed container to keep it fresh and bugs out. Dog food comes in a package with several different layers of packaging for a reason. It is important to continue storing the food in the package it comes in and slide that package into a food storage container.

• Food Storage Iris Container with Wheels

• Vittles Food Vault

4. Grooming & Bathing

We really like the smells of the Life’s Abundance products for shampoo and bath mist. They are our favorite! We also really like the Vanilla Shampoo! For your Ashford Manor Australian Labradoodle it is important to get them used to being brushed from the beginning!

• Chris Christensen Small Slicker Brush

• Life’s Abundance Revitalizing Shampoo

5. Training & Safety

Teaching your dog by using the same door each time to go to the bathroom, and having the same routine is key! A helpful item is the doogie door bell if you have a louder or larger home. Putting a dog tag on immediately is essential if your Ashford Manor puppy gets away from you. Slide on dog tags are the best investment and they will not wear off as quickly as the tags that hang down, they also have less chance of getting hooked on crates and in bushes.

• Doggie Door Bell – Extra Loud
Teaches your dog to “ring” when they need to go outside.

• Doggie Doorbell for Larger Dogs
Built tough for big dogs and louder for larger homes.

• Slide On Dog Tag
Slides onto collars and won’t jingle — perfect for quiet identification.

6. Crates, Covers & Playpens

Ashford Manor Labradoodles believes crates are essential for your Australian Labradoodle. This is their private space, like having their own room! We work on crate training when the puppies are 6 weeks of age. This is essential for pups to have place to settle down when they get the zoomies as well as if people come over and they want to escape. It is a safe place.

• Indoor Playpen
Safe indoor space for puppies to play and rest.

• Midwest Crate Double Door 30”

• Midwest 30” Dog Crate Cover
Creates a secure, den-like feel for your dog’s crate.
