May 2017 Pet Food Recall

Your dogs health is important to us here at Ashford Manor Labradoodles. There have been a large amount of dog food recalls this year and our goal is to help you stay on top of this. We do not want sick pets and neither do you! At Ashford Manor Labradoodles we use two different foods that have never had food recalls. They are superb and are shipped directly to your door.

What we feed

What is Recalled?

Smallbatch Dog and Cat food of Portland, Oregon is voluntarily recalling two lots of Smallbatch frozen chicken blend for dogs and cats. These batches are possibly contaminated with Salmonella.

  • The product affected are sold in 2 lb. frozen bags
  • It was sold between 2/1/18 and 5/5/17
  • The states this food is sold in retail stores are: California, Colorado, Oregon, and Washington

What is Salmonella look like in dogs and cats

Pets with Salmonella infections may be lethargic and have diarrhea or bloody diarrhea, fever, and vomiting.

Some pets will have only decreased appetite, fever and abdominal pain.

Infected but otherwise healthy pets can be carriers and infect other animals or humans.

If your pet has consumed the recalled product and has these symptoms, please contact your veterinarian.

No pet or consumer illnesses from this product have been reported to date. However, because of their commitment to safety and quality, Smallbatch Pets is conducting a voluntary recall of this product.

Consumers should also follow the Simple Handling Tips published on the Smallbatch Pets package when disposing of the affected product.

What do I do

Consumers who have purchased the above lots of Smallbatch Chicken Blend are urged to stop feeding the product to their dogs or cats and to return product to place of purchase for a full refund.
