It is our recommendation that your labradoodle stay off of stairs for the first year of their life. By introducing stairs to your young labradoodle too soon, it is a potential that their young joints will not form properly; causing joint/hip problems later in life. An easy way to have your puppy avoid climbing the stairs is to simply put a gate in front of the stairs. Though it may create a temporary inconvenience, it will help ensure a longer, more enjoyable life for your Australian Labradoodle.
